ICT Restructure – July 2020 (PDF version)
Last Thursday TAFENSW met with CSPU NSW staff and delegates to begin consultation on a reorganisation of Information and Communications Technology (ICT).
TAFE has provided us with a draft Change Management Plan (CMP) and plans to consult with the union and affected staff over the next five weeks, concluding on 31 July.
The CPSU NSW will prepare a submission in response to the proposal on behalf of members.
To do this effectively we need your input.
Please email our industrial staff or approach your local delegate (contact details below) with your feedback, including any queries you may have.
Our initial thoughts on the Placement Process (Clause 10.2 of the CMP) are:
TAFE claims that while the proposal is expected to result in the deletion of 67 positions from the existing structure, and that no employees will lose their jobs because many roles on the current organisational chart are unfilled. TAFE has further advised us that that once the restructure is implemented there will be an overall increase in TAFE ICT employees of 127.
The CPSU will conduct its own analysis on this.
In the meantime, we will be arranging an ICT members’ meeting in the coming days.
