University of New South Wales member survey

University of New South Wales member survey – April 2018 (PDF version)

As our CPSU NSW bargaining representatives continue to negotiate the new Enterprise Agreement the prospect of protected industrial action has emerged. The following survey is to gauge members’ interest in the prospect of protected industrial action at the current time. Protected industrial action can include many things, most notably strike action.

The survey can be found HERE.

NOTE: This is NOT a final call for industrial action. This survey is only to assess the potential interest in taking industrial action in the near future. If members support taking industrial action, the CPSU NSW will apply for a Protected Action Ballot Order for an official ballot, after which members must take all the approved forms of industrial action within 30 days. Neither United Voice (childcare workers) or the AMWU (Technical Staff in Canberra) have indicated they’re interested in industrial action at this stage.

It is vital to note that only union members will be able to engage in protected industrial action should the membership decide to in the future. So encourage your non-union colleagues to JOIN today.
