University of New England Enterprise Bargaining update

University of New England enterprise bargaining update – July 2017 (PDF version)

Happy Pay (rise) Day!

The CPSU fought hard to protect your rights and entitlements during the previous round of Enterprise Bargaining, and successfully won a total 15 per cent pay rise over the life of the Agreement.

On 20 July, all UNE Professional Staff will get the final three per cent instalment of that pay rise.

The next round of Enterprise Bargaining is about to begin

The current University of New England Professional Staff Collective Agreement 2014-2017 expires on 1 October, and that can mean only one thing – Enterprise Bargaining season is upon us again.

On 26 June your CPSU bargaining team met with management to begin initial discussions around how bargaining will proceed. We have agreed to meet fortnightly, starting from 1 August.

Your CPSU bargaining team will be:

It’s your turn to have your say!

In a few weeks we will present our Log of Claims to Management. Let us know what conditions matter to you, and what you think could be improved.

We encourage all CPSU members to come along to one of our listening sessions:

Monday, July 17

  • 12pm-1pm
  • 1pm-2pm

Tuesday, July 18

  • 12pm-1pm
  • 1pm-2pm

All sessions will be held in the Immersive Conference Suite in the ITD Building. Please RSVP to Ross Bennetts to let us know you’re coming.

Want to help?

To ensure that we can maintain and improve existing conditions for Professional Staff, we’ll need all hands on deck during the bargaining period.

  • Encourage your fellow members to attend the listening sessions
  • Share this information with a colleague and encourage them to join the CPSU
  • Volunteer to be part of our Campaign Team

We are stronger together.  CPSU is the only union on campus solely dedicated to protecting the rights and conditions of Professional Staff.
