TAFE NSW WWCC update

TAFE NSW WWCC update – 7 March 2017 (PDF Version)

As you are aware, under current legislation, the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012, employees working with children need to have a current Working with Children Check clearance.

TAFE employees have until 31 March 2017 to do this. TAFE has advised us 38 per cent of staff have not yet done so.

Please ensure you make your application now if you have not already done so.

If you are having difficulties with the process, please contact your local delegate for help to make the application.

If you are having difficulties with paying the $80, please contact your local Human Resources department.

If you have applied for the check and it has come back unapproved or rejected, please contact your union for further support: .

It is important you continue to have a say and your voice is heard. You can support the work of the PSA (CPSU) and your local delegates by joining the PSA (CPSU).

Please forward this to your colleagues so that they know what their rights are, and encourage them to JOIN THE PSA (CPSU).
