Ability Options have advised the CPSU NSW that local consultation has commenced with accommodation Support Workers (SW) in the Mid North Coast and Hunter Region on proposed changes to rosters to align with current funding for participant ‘roster of care’. The CPSU NSW is advised that this work has been informed by a review of ‘rosters of care for AO participants’ which has resulted in the need to re-align Ability Options SW staff rosters to fully meet participant needs.
Ability Options advises;
The proposed changes do not reduce contracted hours for any permanent full-time or part-time employees.
The proposed changes will in some instances alter the employees’ master rosters or ‘lines’ and this is subject to consultation and feedback by house teams and individual employees.
The proposed changes in a few instances require employees to move to another site. Wherever possible, these are as close as possible and may even be on a shared site. This is subject to consultation and feedback by individual employees affected by these proposals.
