The CPSU NSW has been made aware of the Federal Court decision dismissing the challenge to the North East Regional NSW Forestry Agreement that was handed down today 10 January 2024.
If the decision had been upheld it could have had significant implications for all hardwood operations in NSW particularly in regional areas, impacting not only our members but the local communities and their economies.
The CPSU NSW has reached out to the Forestry Corporation NSW Executive (FCNSW) and will be keeping a close eye on any proposed next steps.
The union will be arranging member’s meetings so be on the lookout for CPSU NSW representatives at your office locations over the coming months.
