The bargaining committee returned to close out discussion on the substantive agenda items.

The committee will finalise the drafting of the proposed agreement to ensure that it reflects the intent of what was discussed and agreed, and aim to conclude within the next fortnight.

The parties aim to put the agreement to ballot by the end of November with the aim of passing on a salary increase and backpay before Christmas.

The proposed agreement contains a 4 per cent increase to salaries and allowances (1 per cent of this from 1 July 2023 and the remaining 3 per cent from 18 September 2023) and a 0.5 per cent superannuation increase.

The proposed agreement will have a nominal expiry date of 18 September 2024.

The parties thank the Fair Work Commission for its assistance and look forward to continuing interest-based bargaining next year.
