TAFE NSW Enterprise Bargaining Update

BACKPAY DEADLINE LIFTED

The CPSU NSW met with Deputy Premier Prue Car, then Minister for TAFE, on 22 September to discuss TAFE NSW’s arbitrary deadline posed upon bargaining representatives to complete bargaining by the end of October 2023.

The deadline, which would have seen any backpay from the current nominal expiration date of 18 September 2023 to the end of October 2023 and beyond forfeited, should bargaining not reach in-principle agreement on the TAFE Commission of NSW Administrative Employees Enterprise Agreement 2023 by the end of October, has been lifted.

TAFE NSW’s reluctant benevolence in conceding the deadline being lifted came after incorrect statements were made by TAFE NSW regarding the direction from the State Government.

There is now no deadline for bargaining to end and all administrative will be paid the government public sector increase of 4%, backdated to 18 September 2023 when bargaining concludes and the replacement agreement is approved by the Fair Work Commission.
