The CPSU NSW attended National TAFE Day at Miller TAFE campus on 6 September 2023 for a free BBQ and a meet and great.
The day was a great success with hundred of sausage sandwiches served to many happy employees and students.
Local MPs Charishma Kaliyanda and Nathan Hagarty met with the CPSU NSW organising and industrial team at the event to discuss improvements to the TAFE system, including an administrative pay rise and an urgent review of the current security guard contract to bring safety and certainty back to all TAFE campuses. The CPSU NSW advocated on behalf of its members to address undoing the harm the past State Government has inflicted, and we are pleased at how receptive the MPs were.
