CPSU NSW update: University of Technology Sydney VOTED “YES”!

Your Enterprise Agreement – A Win for Professional Staff

The new University of Technology Sydney Staff Enterprise Agreement 2021 (EA) was successfully endorsed by UTS staff on 13 April after an all-staff online ballot!

More than 1100 Professional and academic staff voted, with 96% giving their approval.

A massive congratulations to all Professional Staff involved!

The CPSU NSW wishes to thank members, our dedicated bargaining committee, our CPSU NSW bargaining officials, and UTS Management Bargaining Representatives for their efforts in producing an exceptional, albeit a single combined, enterprise agreement.

The EA will now proceed through the approval process in the Fair Work Commission. However, the Vice Chancellor announced in his update that the pay increase due in May 2023 will proceed regardless of the outcome of this process.

The CPSU NSW has won many new and improved benefits exclusively for Professional Staff in the new EA, and we will continue to fight for improvements in the years to come.

Your support makes a real difference to Professional Staff employment conditions at UTS. With a louder voice we have greater power to negotiate better conditions for you.

We encourage all members to speak to their colleagues on the benefits of joining the CPSU NSW for Professional Staff.

If you have questions regarding the EA, please do not hesitate to contact the CPSU NSW.
