AUSGRID PROTECTED ACTION BALLOT RESULT

This week the CPSU NSW received an email from the Australian Electoral Commission advising the Protected Action Ballot had been completed and the results tallied. Unfortunately, fewer than 50 per cent of the members who were balloted across the CPSU NSW and the USU returned their ballot via mail. This means that employees who work at Ausgrid and who are members of the CPSU NSW cannot take lawful industrial action during this period of bargaining.

Regardless of the ballot outcome, the CPSU NSW will continue to fight on behalf of members at the bargaining table.

We will send out another update following the next bargaining meeting. In the meantime, if you know of anybody who isn’t a union member but would like to join, they can join the CPSU NSW online here.
