Is your employer doing enough to help vaccinate staff?

The CPSU NSW has written to disability service providers across NSW asking them to support staff vaccination, and outline their organisation’s planning and practical arrangements.

The union has received broadly encouraging feedback from employers in the sector; they want to work closely with their staff to support and improve staff access to vaccines and up-take. However, a number have expressed frustration with the slow pace of the Federal Government’s vaccine roll out.

The CPSU NSW believes access to vaccination should be a top priority for disability service providers and the Federal Government.

We also want to ensure Disability Workers are not financially disadvantaged by playing their part in the fight against COVID-19.

If you are concerned about accessing vaccination services, or think your organisation could do more to help, you can contact us for advice on 1300 772 679.

Reaching out

Due to the lockdown, our industrial staff are unable to visit many workplaces at this time. Over the next few weeks we will be calling members to check-in, and hear from you about your lockdown experience and how you are travelling at work.
