Are you ‘Aware’ that Enterprise Bargaining is soon to commence? Your Union is here to help!

Aware Super Enterprise bargaining – September 2020

Employees of the newly-formed Aware Super were advised last week by management that it intends to enterprise bargain towards an agreement covering the entire organisation.

Enterprise bargaining is a process governed by the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth) where an employer and employees negotiate a new set of terms and conditions of employment for a workforce, which has to be ultimately approved by a favourable ballot of those impacted.

At the best of times it is complex and procedural.  In Aware’s case, with employees coming from up to four separate entities, some with agreements in place and some without, this will be a challenging process.

Your Union, the Community and Public Sector Union (CPSU) is here to represent your interests and will be at the bargaining table for its members.

As a first step, we have organised a meeting by video conference for all interested staff including both members and non-members of the CPSU, to hear from Union officials and delegates about how the process is likely to unfold and what they can offer to you.

To participate, please register in advance for this meeting https://zoom.us/meeting/register/tJIvdeChpzkpEtIE0y99Ld1Y7Q9PxbA1os_N

We look forward to hopefully seeing and hearing from many of you on Friday, and to working with you in the weeks and months ahead.
