Ind Disc Paper- Feb 2020 (PDF version)
Yesterday, TAFE NSW Management wrote to the CPSU NSW to advise us it is currently engaging in consultation with staff and the union in regard to its Aboriginal Support Structure Review and the TAFE NSW Reconciliation Action Plan.
CPSU NSW has long been committed to government-wide strategies designed to foster and achieve high levels of Indigenous employment.
TAFE NSW as a leading organisation, we believe, plays a significant role in realising the essential aim of achieving high levels of Indigenous employment, by providing a culturally inclusive education, training and employment at TAFE.
We believe this review has merit and is an opportunity for the union to contribute to the improvement of services and programs for Aboriginal students and staff at TAFE.
We will begin preparing the union feedback on the discussion paper (staff.tafensw.edu.au/documents/2020/02/aboriginal-support-structure-review-consultation-discussion-paper.pdf) which relies upon member contributions, shortly.
So, we invite members to provide feedback on the discussion paper through the union, by Friday 28 February 2020.
You will find the format very easy to follow by simply answering the questions in Parts A, B and C towards the end of the paper. Your answers can be as short or as detailed as you wish.
