The CPSU NSW has, under considered legal advice, withdrawn the current dispute with Coal Services and entered into a more focused, specific dispute on the lack of significant changes in PDs.
As you have advised us, the PDs for some positions in the proposed model are the same as those you are currently working under, with some minor wording changes. The original dispute was on consultation and Coal Services has informed us it has consulted and will continue how it wants. We need to demonstrate to Coal Services, by statements and evidence, that the duties of the proposed roles haven’t changed. “High focus on supervising teams” is the same as “high focus on leading teams”, no matter how you word it.
We are seeking a rapid response from Coal Services and, if needed, from the Fair Work Commission, to get this matter resolved as quickly as possible.
