Your pay rise and Clarence Correctional Centre Advisory Group

Your pay rise and back pay has finally hit your accounts.

This pay rise was hard fought by the delegates and your union. This was not a gift from Serco and it wouldn’t have happened without the pressure we placed on Serco during the bargaining. Delegates and industrial staff continued to pressure Serco for a pay rise that meant real growth for our members which would then help Serco retain and attract staff and at the last minute they came to the realise that what we were saying was true.

Clarence Correctional Centre Advisory Group

CPSU NSW is creating an Advisory Group at Clarence Correctional Centre with the rules aligning with the Prison Officer Vocational Branch (POVB) to future proof the site. This means that the Delegate position will only be available to full time staff. This group will meet regularly and will raise issues with Serco through the Delegates Consultative Committee (DCC) every two months with industrial staff and meet with Serco on the alternative month without industrial staff.

Shortly the PSA will be calling for Delegate nominations in the following areas.

Positions Delegates Required
Correctional Case Officers (1 from Initial Response Team) 4
Supervisor 1
Trade Instructors 1
Non-Custodial 1
