After months of delays, and your union actively pursuing a fair pay rise in line with the public sector, this issue is finally back on the agenda of the Expenditure Review Committee (ERC).
The CPSU NSW and TAFE appeared before the Fair Work Commission on 19 May. TAFE gave an update on what happened at the ERC, stating on the record that “it looks positive”.
The parties are now waiting for the outcome from the committee in writing, as there were several issues on the agenda regarding TAFE budgetary matters.
We should have this within the next five days or so.
There is a scheduled report back in the Commission locked in for 27 May at 4:00pm.
The CPSU NSW made it clear that as soon as a written outcome was received by TAFE, they need to inform the parties as we are not willing to wait until the 27th should the correspondence be received earlier.
The CPSU NSW will continue to push this forward so our members are not left without a pay rise any longer.
