The CPSU NSW seeks feedback from members regarding a new enterprise bargaining agreement. As outlined previously, although the current agreement expired in 2023, Northcott have refused to bargain with your union. This has meant that wages for many disability support workers have fallen behind and members are acutely suffering the cost-of-living crisis.
Since Northcott’s refusal to negotiate, the CPSU NSW has received legal advice indicating Northcott can be compelled to negotiate via a bargaining order issued by the Fair Work Commission.
Wages for members on level 2.2 and sleepovers have been key concerns for members, especially in the last few months. The union would also like members to provide any further input regarding this issues, or other conditions in the current agreement. The current agreement can be found here.
Following the finalisation of feedback from members, a log of claims will be served on Northcott to initiate negotiations for the new agreement.
Members can contact the union via emails below regarding what they would like to be included, or addressed, in a new Enterprise Agreement.
