The CPSU NSW and Clarence Correctional Centre operate, SERCO Australia, will meet for a third bargaining session on Friday morning.
Initial meetings for a new enterprise agreement were held on-site on 19 and 20 February, with the CPSU NSW outlining its log of claims.
At this stage there’s no firm agreement on any issues, with the parties only jointly indicating a preference for a new deal over a three-year term.
As the current agreement ‘nominally’ expires on 3 March, there’s a chance the Company will try to put a substandard offer to staff without the Union’s agreement.
Be ready for this tactic.
Don’t vote in favour of any offer without the endorsement of the CPSU NSW.
