Since our last bulletin, CPSU NSW members have advised the union that they were unhappy with Mercer’s offer to increase pay by 3.25 per cent (plus 1.5 per cent for performance-based pay) each year for two years. After years of high inflation and the ongoing cost of living crisis, Mercer’s offer is an insult to members.
Members have raised the fact that other employers in the sector have offered increases of 5 per cent per year including the most recent Westpac enterprise agreement finalised last year.
We are aware not all members could make Wednesday’s meeting. Members are encouraged to respond to the below survey and advise whether they are willing to accept Mercer’s pay offer.
