UTS: Professional Staff Meeting and Bargaining update

All UTS Professional Staff are invited to MS Teams meeting on Thursday 10 March at 12:30am.

Register HERE.

This meeting will report on Enterprise Bargaining, Campus Reactivation and change management that is occurring at the university.

Where we are at with bargaining?

Bargaining is proceeding slowly. Both Unions presented their log of claims on Job Security, Managing Change, Staff Conversion and the UTS workforce. UTS shared their views on Job Security.

The extended conversation on these topics provided clarity to all parties.

There is still some way before we can reach agreement on these issues. Rest assured, the CPSU NSW UTS EB9 Bargaining team will consult the membership before agreeing to any changes.

At the conclusion of the meeting:

  • UTS committed to a written response to Log of Claims.
  • The parties will explore option for forming Sub-Committees for the purpose of clause drafting .
  • NTEU and CPSU to provide Flow Chart on Managing Change and consultation process.
  • NTEU to submit status document.
  • UTS agreed to present a financial briefing at next bargaining meeting.

Meeting 13 is scheduled for Tuesday 15th March 2022.  The meeting will focus on the UTS Budget Briefing, Professional Staff issues and the Status of clauses.
