Macquarie University member update: Return to campus
If you’re confused about returning to campus you wouldn’t be the only one. University management has briefed unions on the return to campus plan on 2 February, following the release of the FAQ on the university’s website, which you can find here.
Here’s what we discussed in a nutshell:
Extra cleaning in high-touch areas will still be in place.
Contact tracing is still in place, please use check in codes.
Masks will be required inside, and indoor meetings should be avoided if possible.
Concerns around lack of consultation of Health and Safety Representatives (HSRs).
University maintains that staff will not be forced to return to campus and working from home continues to be allowed if your role permits.
