Meal allowance payments: are you affected?

The meal allowance overtime payments saga is indeed not over. The CPSU NSW has written to your employer on 17 November 2021 to request that:

  1. There be a review of all affected staff since the beginning of the payment freeze, and that the amounts owed are back paid for the life of the previous Agreement.
  2. There is a reply to our correspondence in writing.

On 3 December 2021, Mr Gleeson replied to your union’s correspondence reaffirming UAC’s position that there has not been a payment freeze, despite members bringing it to our attention since 2020. Management also claim that the intent of Clause 36 does not apply to what has already been raised.

You’ve told us you feel strongly about this. We believe UAC has breached the (previous) Enterprise Agreement in not honouring the entitlements in clause 36. As your union, we will support members to find an acceptable resolution to this matter.

Are you affected by this matter? Do you know someone who is? We need you to come along to our meeting to discuss next steps.

When? Thursday 3 Feb, 12 PM
Where? Zoom.  Join here.

All members welcome, particularly affected members. If you are inviting an affected staff member who isn’t a CPSU NSW member, please confirm their attendance with one of your delegates. The goal is to create a safe and confidential environment for discussion.
