CPSU NSW meeting notice: Bargaining drawing to an end

After four months, bargaining is coming to a conclusion. The union is expecting to be able to distribute a draft Enterprise Agreement to members early next week.

Briefly, the CPSU NSW has been successful in securing the following:

  • an administrative pay rise of 2.04% back paid from the first full period on or after the first full pay on or after 1 July 2021,
  • improved consultation provisions,
  • better workplace flexibility and working from home provisions
  • a commitment to review the pay matrix during the next round of bargaining
  • a health and wellbeing clause that commits WaterNSW to develop comprehensives workplace sexual harassment and WHS processes.

In addition, there is a proposal for there to be a shutdown for two weeks at the end of the year. With an incentive an additional days leave for those who reduce their leave balance to four weeks or less by 30 June 2022.

As per the NSW Public Sector Guidelines, this Agreement will be for one year only expiring on 30 June 2022.

A more comprehensive analysis will be provided next week, with the draft agreement, and at the CPSU NSW meeting on 14 October.
