Transgrid EA

Last week during bargaining, Transgrid advised that they intended on putting the Enterprise Agreement out to a second vote. This is despite the fact that employees voted the last Enterprise Agreement down on the basis that the pay offer was not good enough.

Transgrid has offered 2.5 per cent payable from the first full pay period on or after 1 December 2021 and 2.5 per cent payable from the first full pay period on or after 1 December 2022. This is only an additional 0.5 per cent, coupled with the offer of back-paying the offer to December 2020, in order to entice employees to vote.

The CPSU NSW is of the view that members should vote NO to Transgrid’s latest pay offer. If employees vote the Enterprise Agreement down again, then the combined unions will be in a position to go back to the bargaining table to continue negotiating for better pay and conditions.

In the meantime, if you know of anybody who isn’t a union member but would like to join, they can join online HERE. We are stronger as a collective, and acting in union is the only way that we will be able to stand up and fight against Transgrid’s subpar pay offer.
