CPSU NSW secures pay rise for WaterNSW staff

The CPSU NSW has successfully secured a 2.04 per cent (plus 0.5 per cent superannuation) pay increase, that will be back dated to the first full pay period on or after 1 July 2021.

Members will recall that the CPSU NSW wrote to WaterNSW on 15 July 2021 seeking that, as per the NSW Public Sector Wages Policy 2021, the 2.5 per cent  wage increase (including 0.5 per cent Superannuation) be back paid to the first full pay period on or after 1 July.

WaterNSW has provided a Letter of Intent to the CPSU NSW committing to the pay rise, while continuing to bargain to improve aspects of the WaterNSW Enterprise Agreement 2018. The pay increase (with back pay) will be paid on 18 August 2021. WaterNSW will also provide staff with a copy of the letter.

If you know someone who is not a member of the CPSU NSW, this is certainly a good reason to encourage them to join. It was because of the CPSU NSW’s strong advocacy that the pay rise is being back dated to the first full pay period on or after 1 July 2021, rather than when bargaining would have concluded later in the year.
