The past 12 months have been exceptionally difficult for us all as we have been forced to adapt to changed working conditions, balance increased workloads, experience the loss of many wonderful colleagues and the manage ongoing threat of COVID and ideological policy attacks on the sector.
Over the coming months, your union will commence negotiations with the university for our new Enterprise Agreement (EBA).
The CPSU NSW is organised, prepared and ready to engage with members to achieve the best possible outcome for Professional Staff. On 10 February 2021, CPSU NSW delegates from across the state met to plan and develop strategies and tactics for this Round of Bargaining. See clip HERE.
The CPSU NSW is the only union which exclusively represents the interests of Professional Staff in negotiating pay and conditions. We are a grassroots union which makes decisions based solely on what is in our member’s best interests and it is important to us that we know what professional staff want and need in our enterprise agreement.
We acknowledge that this may be the most difficult round of enterprise bargaining that we have ever encountered, with the prospect of significant gains limited, but there are many areas of our agreement that can be improved without a cost burden on the university such as:
