Are you interested in your rights at work? Do you have a passion to support your co-workers and fight for what’s right? Are you a keen negotiator, communicator, note taker or have any other special skill? That’s exactly what we need for our bargaining team!
As you may be aware, the WSU Professional Staff enterprise agreement is set to expire soon, and so we must begin the work in the lead up to negotiations. Part of that is electing a negotiating team. We have four spots available, and are aiming for a gender balance. In these spots we will have a lead negotiator (someone with previous experience), a note taker, a communications officer, and an observer. Usually there is also a chance for us to bring in experts in specific fields. If you feel like you would fall into one of these categories, or you keen to get more involved, please contact your organiser Kirra Jackson on and she will have a chat with you.
We will be electing the bargaining team at an all members meeting on 5 February at midday. If you have any questions or concerns please email your Organiser () or your President Scott Pendlebury () and we answer any questions you have.
