PSA/CPSU NSW members affected by bushfires

Fire – Jan 2020 (PDF Version)

NSW, like much of the rest of the country, has been gripped by unprecedented bushfires. As a consequence of this people have lost their homes and property and in some cases, tragically, their lives.

The PSA/CPSU NSW has many members employed by NSW Rural Fire Service, Fire and Rescue NSW, NSW State Emergency Service, NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service and Forestry Corporation of NSW on the frontline, protecting communities and supporting people affected by the ongoing crisis.

Our union also has many members who volunteer in firefighting and support roles and I am aware that many members have had to deal with traumatic incidents during recent times. We stand with you.

Should any member require assistance please do not hesitate to contact us on 1300 772 679. You may also wish to speak to your local delegates or dedicated industrial staff.

Whilst we find ourselves in extremely difficult circumstances, I am confident that we can come together and rebuild that which has been lost.

Please also see relevant information regarding, “members affected by bushfires” and “volunteering for an emergency service”, circulated to members in December 2019 HERE and HERE.
