WaterNSW floats changes to Finance and Commercial Services

WaterNSW changes bulletin – July 2019 (PDF version)

WaterNSW has written to staff unions to commence a formal period of consultation on a change proposal to the Finance and Commercial Services branch.

In a joint consultative committee meeting held on 20 June 2019, the corporation outlined a series of structural changes aimed at improving the corporation’s commercial decision making and accounting outcomes.

While the FTE impact is negligible, with 42 positions retained across the branch, on the current proposal Group Procurement is set lose four jobs with Property, Fleet & Logistics picking up two positions and Financial Control & Accounts Payable and Financial Planning & Analysis both expanding by one additional FTE.

At this stage, WaterNSW is yet to consult with the unions on staff placement procedures. However, the corporation has assured the CPSU NSW that it will honour the commitment to manage affected staff under award and arrangements prevailing prior to the unified enterprise agreement. We will provide further information to members as it becomes available.
