University of Newcastle – Bargaining update

University of Newcastle – Bargaining update – September 2018 (PDF version)

Your union, the CPSU NSW, believes that, following the meeting on 4 September, we are close to reaching agreement and confident that this can be achieved.

It is now time for your bargaining reps to meet with you to outline our position so far and to seek your approval to continue.

Our focus throughout this long bargaining process has always been to preserve your current conditions and entitlements and to seek improvements that are of benefit to professional staff at the University of Newcastle.

We believe that this has been achieved to a certain degree and we seek to have further discussions with you as a CPSU NSW member.

To facilitate this, we will arrange a Zoom meeting for Wednesday 12 September.

In order to cover as many members as possible there will be two sessions, 12.30 pm to 1pm and 1pm to 1.30 pm. Please try to attend a session either as a group or individually.

A zoom number will be sent out prior to the meeting, along with a summary of key enhancements that have been achieved at the bargaining table.

If you have any questions, please send them to your senior delegate Sue Freeman.

In the meantime, please print this bulletin and circulate it to your colleagues either by hand or by pinning it on your local noticeboard.

You can support the work of the union and your local delegates by joining the CPSU NSW.

Please forward this to your colleagues so that they know their rights and encourage them to JOIN THE CPSU NSW

Please note, CPSU NSW members are also members of the Public Service Association of NSW. The PSA is the Associated Body for, and resources and manages, the CPSU NSW.
