National TAFE Day – 19 June 2018

National TAFE Day – 19 June 2018 (PDF version)

Tuesday 19 June is National TAFE Day, where staff, students and the community stop to recognise and celebrate the important role that TAFE has played in training our future workforce, in serving our local communities and being one of the most respected and valued public services in NSW.

This week the CPSU NSW (PSA) will be celebrating and recognising the great work undertaken by staff, who continue to support students and teachers on National TAFE Day. Your union will be providing Morning Tea at several colleges to thank you for the hard work you undertake for TAFE NSW and to show you our appreciation. Please JOIN US on Tuesday 19 June and invite your colleagues along.

It is important we stop and recognise the great value of the long standing institution of TAFE NSW, and the role that TAFE NSW has played in servicing the people of NSW in their communities and workplaces.

Scheduled morning teas (we provide cakes or cupcakes – bring your own coffee or tea) will be held at:

  • 10am ‑ Ultimo Campus
    Library Room DG53
  • 10am ‑ St George Campus

At the Coffs Harbour Education Campus, (CHEC), CPSU NSW (PSA) represents all staff, who are not teachers or academics, at the Senior School, TAFE NSW and Southern Cross University. Professional Staff, Administrative Support, Technical and Related staff, and School Administrative and Support Staff are all invited to support our colleagues in celebrating National TAFE DAY!

CPSU NSW Delegates and Staff will be available to onsite to meet members, answer questions and help celebrate National TAFE DAY.

In all other areas, we strongly encourage everyone to stop for morning tea, and discuss with your colleagues, your family or friends what TAFE means to you, and why you value the services TAFE provide to our community. You can send your ideas and photos of your morning tea to and we can share your appreciation for TAFE NSW on our Facebook page.

More information about the CPSU NSW see www.cpsunsw.org.au and the PSA see www.psa.asn.au.

Please share this with your colleagues, and invite them to the local Morning Tea, and for staff other than teachers or academics, ask them to JOIN the CPSU NSW (PSA).
